Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This policy explains how Loop uses cookies and similar browser storage.

What are cookies?

Cookies, and similar technologies such as local storage, are small pieces of data stored in your browser when you use a website or app. They help remember your preferences and understand how people use the product.

What Loop uses

We keep this deliberately minimal. Loop does not use any advertising cookies or advertising technology.

Essential storage: Loop uses browser storage to keep you signed in and to keep a local copy of your list so the app works quickly and reliably. This is required for the service to function.

Analytics, only if you accept: no analytics loads until you accept it via our banner. If you accept, we use PostHog, hosted within the European Union, to understand high-level product usage so we can improve Loop. No item content, such as titles, names, notes, amounts, or attachments, is ever sent to PostHog.

A local consent preference is stored in your browser so we can remember whether you accepted or declined analytics, and do not keep asking.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your data to third parties.
  • We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles.
  • We do not include your item content in analytics events.
  • We do not load any advertising technology.

Your choices

The first time analytics is available you will see a banner where you can accept or decline. If you decline, only the storage required for the service to function is used, and no analytics events are sent.

You can change your mind at any time from the settings in the app, or by clearing your browser storage, after which the banner will appear again.
